and so it begins...

over the holiday break, i signed up for my second marathon: The Avenue of the Giants Marathon. those close know that i VOWED to never run another marathon after my first, but, sometimes motivation to fit into a wedding dress just kicks "never" in the behind.

the training is pretty straight forward...
  • fitness: four days of running using the training program from the disney marathon, two days of core/bootcamp training, and one day of rest.
  • nutrition: weight watchers - focusing on clean eating (whole foods/fruits/protein) and staying away from processed foods.
  • time: my goal is to run in the mornings even though it's flippen' cold. i did some research and found out that lungs do not freeze (good news!) so i guess i'm safe.
i will continue to monitor my progress here and nike plus.
